Booth: Oh, God. Are you hurt?
Brennan: I’m just stuck. Just get me out.
Booth: All right. Brennan: But don’t break the Egyptian vases. They were just delivered today.
Booth: I’m going to get this…Okay. How did you do this?
Brennan: I don’t know. I’m just so big. My center of gravity must have shifted and I fell.
Booth: Are you sure you’re okay?
Brennan: Yeah, positive.
Booth: Just get one shot.
Brennan: Not funny.
Booth: Right okay, well, it’s a little funny, you have to admit. Why didn’t you just call the security guard?
Brennan: I didn’t think of that. I just thought of you.
Booth: Right. Okay. You okay?
Brennan: Yes. Booth: Baby’s okay?
Brennan: Yes.
Booth: All right, Bones, I’m, uh…I’m sorry— I-I’m sorry about, uh— about before and you know, and pushing you.
Brennan: Actually you were pulling me. And it worked very well.
Booth: No, I meant about finding a place to live.
Brennan: Oh.
Booth: I just— I want our kid to know that I’m not my dad. I just want him to know that I was a good dad who gave him a real home— our home.
Brennan: Why didn’t you just say that?
Booth: I just didn’t think you’d understand.
Brennan: I don’t. I know you’re not your father. But I do think that we should get our own place together.
Booth: Really?
Brennan: Yes. Lying here, I’ve had some time to think. Longer than I expected— y-you must have run into traffic. Anyway, I realize that this is just one of many unforeseen situations that I might find myself in now that we’re starting a family. And since I can always depend on you to assist when needed, whether practically, emotionally or sexually, being in close proximity would facilitate that. And if the only way for that to occur is by finding another dwelling, I’m willing to do that, even though it’s a foolish investment in this market.
Booth: Well, I was hoping for something a little bit more romantic, but I’ll take what I can get. Just one more thing…
Brennan: Of course.
Booth: that I can add, if I may.
